Well, first weekend wasn't that great for us in the castle, verrrrryyyy sllllooooowwww!  But my daughters dress was a hit. I wish I could say I made it, but I didn't.  It was custom made for her though, so there isn't another one like it at the faire.  She had a great time running around acting like a princess.  My son also had a couple pair of slops made for him and a shirt and they liked so nice on him.  My customs aren't anything special this year, just same ol' boring plain jane stuff. 

If you get a chance come by the Royal Garden Cafe and see us or if you are a vendor come in before the 11 am and place your order and we'll deliver it to your booth at what ever time you need us to between 12:30-3.

OKRF is almost here.  3 more weeks to go.  I'm hoping that will be plenty of time for my arm to heel.  Other wise i'll need to make some kind of sling for it that fits in with the ren garb.  I fratured my elbow on April 1st, man i didn't know something could hurt so bad.....  and i've even had 2 kids, LOL.   It is feeling alot better today.  I've been using my arm more the last 2 days. 

Went last night and picked out fabric for my daughter dress and my over skirts.  I spent 2 hours in the fabric store.  There is so many different outfits i'd love to have made to wear out at the castle this year.... faire, belly dancer, pirate, ect.  Wearing the same o' wench every weekend gets boring.

Well, i guess i'm off to watch a movie with my daughter, it's been a mommy/daughter night for us, none of the guys are home, lol. 

So, it's the last day of February and i realized that REN Faire is only 2 months away.  I know that seems like a long time to some but for me, that's SOOOOON!!   I need to get out the clothes and make sure we have enought costumes for everyone working in the Cafe' this year.  We need to have a meeting with everyone to make sure they are going to be able to work and make out a schedule for them.  The last couple of years, me and my husband worked the entire faire with no time to spend outside of the castle.  This year i want everyone working for us to have a chance to go spend time enjoying the events that take place. 

My daughter loves pirate songs, she is knows a couple by heart.  I'm sad that she won't have a chance to song along with Landloch'd but everything happens for a reason.  She can sing for me anyday.......
